EFM’s climate-smart forestry strategy is guided by the Forest Stewardship Councils’ (FSC) 10 principles. The FSC is global non-profit and a pioneer in forest certification, setting the standard for responsible forest stewardship. One of the FSC’s key functions is overseeing independent, third-party certification of adherence to its principles, standards and guidelines. EFM forests are audited annually for compliance.
