All EFM properties are open to the public for walk-in, non-motorized recreation. Public access is permitted from one hour before sunrise until one hour after sunset when fire danger levels are low or moderate.

Hunting is allowed on all EFM fund owned properties. Hunting and fishing activities must comply with all applicable state laws and regulations, as well as EFM property rules. Prohibited activities include camping, open fires, and the use of motorized vehicles, including all types of e-bikes.

Recreation permits are required for access to the Nehalem Rainforest property and apply to all recreational activities, including hunting, fishing, hiking, and cycling. All visitors must obtain a valid permit before entering the property and carry it with them at all times while recreating on the property.
