EFM listed as an Emeritus Impact Manager on the 2022 ImpactAssets IA50.
EFM has been selected for the 2022 ImpactAssets IA 50 list and to join their new Emeritus category for the second year running which recognizes impact managers who have consistently demonstrated a commitment to a high level of impact over a long period of time. The ImpactAssets 50™ (IA 50) is the first publicly available database that provides a gateway into the world of impact investing for investors and their financial advisors, offering an easy way to identify experienced impact investment firms and explore the landscape of potential investment options. The IA 50 is intended to illustrate the breadth of impact investment fund managers operating today. Firms have been selected to demonstrate a wide range of impact investing activities across geographies, sectors and asset classes. EFM has been selected for the IA50 for eleven years running and for the new IA 50 Emeritus Impact Manager category for two years, a subset of the list that illuminates impact fund managers who have achieved consistent recognition on the IA 50.
“The caliber of this year’s IA 50 lists is a product of the rigorous application scoring and analysis process that the IA 50 Review Committee has fine-tuned through the years. We’re thrilled to foster the continuing growth of these unique, innovative investing approaches addressing critical issues from climate to racial equity and gender equality” says Sandra Osborne Kartt, Managing Director of Investments for ImpactAssets.
“We are grateful to be recognized by Impact Assets for our strong commitment to pioneering a climate-smart approach to managing commercial forests in the U.S.,” says Amrita Vatsal, Managing Director of EFM. “We are also pleased to share that, as of January 2022, EFM is now 100% employee owned and has become a majority women-owned and minority-owned business – one of the only real asset investment management companies in the U.S. with this status. This change will position EFM to provide a broader set of natural climate solution investments in collaboration with our colleagues in the impact investing community.”
At EFM we have been developing natural climate solutions that are the key to unlocking value in a carbon-constrained future for over fifteen years. We use our expertise in conservation finance to develop mutually beneficial public-private projects, and draw from our relationships with forest product companies, public agencies, non-profits and tribes to develop compelling investment opportunities. EFM stewards 130,000 acres in four western states and has ~$219M in capital under management and advisement focused on the creation of long-term financial value and enduring environmental and social impact.
The IA 50 selection committee is chaired by Global Lead of Impact Investing for Tiedemann Advisors, Jed Emerson, and includes experts from Veris Wealth Partners, The Caprock Group, Blue Haven, Natural Investments, and other leading impact investors. See the full list at: http://bit.ly/IA502022
